Dear All,

This is the link to my 10 minute video documentary of the Protest by the National Movement For Protection of Reservation, which was held on the 5th of Feb 2009 at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.

The protest, organised by the National Movement for Protection of Reservation (NMPR) was against the new and controversial Bill, that was passed by the Rajya Sabha on its last day in Dec 2008. (The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Reservation in Posts and Services Bill 2008). Amongst other things, this bill makes provisions for exemptions from the Reservation Policy in jobs in the so called 'Institutions of National Importance'.

The Government needs to be pressurised, to ensure that the bill is not introduced in the Lok Sabha. If this bill is passed, Dalits will not find any place in these so called 'institutions of National Importance', which even after 61 years of Independence continue to remain the bastions of brahmanical mafias.
